What is the estimated value of a 1694 Giulio Antonio Paulucci violin?
Hello everyone, I recently scattered through my basement looking for this violin to help get money to save my house from foreclosure. I found the violin in good condition with the case and it is a 1694 Giulio Antonio Paulucci. That is my rough intepretation of the writing that explains what it is. From the info. I’ve given can anyone help me with a price range?

My advice
QUIT asking PEOPLE on THE INTERNET ABout such THings
GO TO A PROFESSIONAL
This is clearly a case that a professional needs to be involved and you shouldnt be even talking about this on the internet
Without seeing the violin or knowing anything about what kind of condition its in, it would be absolutely impossible for anyone here to hazard a guess as to your violin’s value.
Unless you yourself are an experienced violinist (and I’m guessing you’re not), you have no clue whether its really in “good condition” or not. Just because it looks OK to your untrained eye — nothing *obviously* broken or cracked or missing — doesn’t necessarily mean its in good condition. Quite frankly, the fact that it was stored in your *basement* for a long time (basements = DAMP, musty, unventilated, moldy), has me worried about the structural condition of your violin.
Even a violin expert wouldn’t be able to say with any certainty what it might be worth without seeing it and examining it in person.
If you really want to find out what its worth, get off the computer, go take the violin to a reputable violin dealer and have it appraised. You might have to pay $50 or $100 for a professional appraisal, but if you have a valuable instrument, it will be money well spent.
